“BUY NOW” Rules:
“Buy Now” Rules for the week of May 28 - June 4:
During the 7 days between Noon Friday, May 28 and Noon Friday, June 4, A PLAYER MAY ONLY BUY HIMSELF. To buy yourself, simply enter your “Buy Now” price into the bid line on the Calcutta page, and type the words “Buy Now” into the comment box. For example, if Dan Alley wanted to buy himself that week, he would bid $110 on himself and type the words “Buy Now” into the comment box.
“Buy Now” Rules for the week of June 4 - June 11:
During the 7 days between Noon Friday, June 4 and Noon Friday, June 11, ANY PLAYER MAY BUY ANY OTHER PLAYER WHO HAS NOT YET PURCHASED HIMSELF. During this week, a player is still allowed to buy himself, but once a player is purchased, he is the sole property of the player who purchased him. A player who owns another player is under NO obligation to strike any deals with the player he purchased. He can if he wishes to, but he does not have to. (So if you want to buy yourself, you’d better do it during the week of May 28- June 4!) To buy another player, simply enter that player’s “Buy Now” price into the bid line on the Calcutta page, and type the words “Buy Now” into the comment box. For example, if Dan Alley wanted to buy Mike Blackwell that week, he would bid $40 on Mike Blackwell and type the words “Buy Now” into the comment box.
“Buy Now” Rules for the week of June 11 - June 19:
During the 8 days between Noon Friday, June 11 and the start of the Carlos Diaz Crime Stoppers Challenge at 7 a.m. on June 19, ALL “BUY NOW” PRIVLEDGES ARE SUSPENDED. Basically, THE “BUY NOW” OPTION ENDS AT NOON ON FRIDAY, JUNE 11. After High Noon on Friday, June 11, every player who is not purchased is up for continued open bidding. The prices of players who have previously purchased themselves or other players using the “Buy Now” option are locked in. But every other player’s price tag is still up for open bidding. That means players who are still in the open bidding after June 11 may see their price tag soar past their original “Buy Now” price. In other words, if you want to get yourself at a good price, buy yourself early, or risk seeing your price sky-rocket out of control on the open market. (Please hear this warning: I, Carlos Diaz, will bid you up like crazy that week. And trust me, I have deep pockets. Ask Mullendore.)
